Armando, This is Ivan Canino one of the Wall of Wind researchers at FIU. I want to let you know that out of all the pictures that have been taken of our hurricane mitigation wind machine (ABC, CNN, FOX, Herald and many others) your posted picture of our system is by far the best one to date. The ominous dark clouds in the sky, along with the WoW and angle of the picture is exceptional. Please contact me (ivan.canino@fiu.edu). I would really appreciate if you can send me a full resolution picture. Also, you are invited to our site when ever you want. During the next 2 weeks we will be running experiments for one of our graduate students’ thesis. You are welcome to come. Also, in June the Weather Channel is doing a piece of our system, you should definitely come. Just so you know from the picture left to right: Walter Conklin (Miami), Roy Liu (Costa Rica), Jimmy Irwin (Miami), and my self Ivan Canino (San Juan, Puerto Rico). Hope to hear from you soon. Iván Canino
Thanks for posting on my blog. I been meaning to contact you guys, but I lost your contact information (the pink post-a-note). I have driven by the campus a few times, but haven't see any of you guys on the site. As far as the photo; consider it yours. I took a few other good ones that day that i would like to share with you too. The problem is that the files are to big for me to send via email. Do you have an FTP site? If not, just let me know when your going to be at the location and I'll give you a CD.
