North American zoos manage Clouded leopards through a Species Survival Plan, or SSP, administered by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association.This leopard presides at Miami Metro Zoo. It is one of two in it's collection.
Clouded leopards are faced many threats in Southeast Asian. Their forest habitat is experiencing rampant degradation due to logging and the development of agricultural areas, including vast palm oil plantations in Malaysia and Indonesia.
